¡Don’t miss this unique adventure to the Sillar Quarries!

The tour to the Sillar Route is a tour you cannot miss if you consider yourself an adventurer attracted by history and culture. This destination is known as the site of origin of the construction materials for houses, churches and mansions that can be found in Arequipa.

The extraction of this stone known as Ignimbrita is done in a traditional way in the quarries, using techniques that have been passed from generation to generation.

The sites you will visit are the Añashuayco Quarry, where we will visit the Megatallado de la Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús. You will also have the opportunity to discover the Quebrada de Culebrillas, where we will hike among its peculiar rock formations.
