Then, you’ll arrive at the Glamping, where llamas and alpacas will be your companions.

Enjoy magical moments with panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains, and you’ll have the chance to have a picnic with llamas, make a bonfire, ride horses, or enjoy a quad bike ride. This place perfectly blends nature and culture, allowing you to interact with local wildlife and native people.

It is the most complete activity in the Sacred Valley, combining visits to points of interest with a total immersion experience in nature.

Itinerary of the Sacred Valley Tour + Glamping:

  • 8:30 AM: Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco to begin the journey to the Sacred Valley.
  • The first stop will be in Chinchero, a picturesque village where you will learn about traditional weaving techniques, a practice passed down through generations for thousands of years. You will also learn about their customs and local culture.
  • Next, we will head to Moray, an impressive archaeological site. Here, you will be able to walk through its circular terraces and explore both the upper and lower parts of this enigmatic site.
  • Afterward, we will visit the Maras Salt Mines, a complex of over 3,000 salt pans where salt is extracted using ancestral techniques inherited from the Incas.
  • At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at the accommodation around 1:00 PM, where you can enjoy an afternoon full of activities (for an additional cost), such as a picnic, horseback riding, or an ATV ride, before spending the night glamping. You will sleep in a tipi surrounded by nature, have the chance to make a bonfire, interact with llamas, and enjoy the wonderful mountain views.
  • The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, we will pick you up to return to your hotel in the historic center of Cusco.

What is included in the Sacred Valley + Glamping tour:

  • Shared tour to Chinchero, Maras, and Moray with a guide in Spanish and English (check for availability in Portuguese or other languages).
  • Transfer to the Glamping on Day 1.
  • Pickup from the Glamping on Day 2 to return to your hotel in the historic center of Cusco.
  • 1 night in a Standard Teepee with breakfast included. Upgrades to a deluxe teepee are available for an additional cost.
  • Teepee equipped with a water bottle, Andean sandals, firewood for the bonfire.
  • Free use of bicycles.
  • Llama visit to the teepee available from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with prior reservation.
  • Use of hats and ponchos during your stay.
  • Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant and reception areas of the Glamping.

The price of the Sacred Valley + Glamping tour does not include:

  • Transfer from hotels outside of Cusco, such as Urubamba, Pisac, or others (check for additional charges with Guru Explorers).
  • Tips for the guide.
  • Beverages.
  • Lunch, dinner, or other meals not specified in the itinerary.
  • Tourist ticket (see details below, available as an extra).
  • Entrance fee to the Maras Salt Mines (available as an extra).
  • Extra activities not mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Picnic with llamas.

Tourist Ticket:

  • The Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC) allows entry to different attractions. It can be purchased at the entrance of each tourist destination we visit (consider that they only accept payment in cash and in local currency).
  • For this tour, you will need the Circuit III – Partial Tourist Ticket, which covers the attractions of Pisac, Chinchero, Moray and Ollantaytambo.

What to bring for the visit to the Inca Valley + Glamping?

  • Comfortable footwear, light clothing, hat, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, rain gear (especially from November to April).
  • Warm clothing for the night.
  • Passport or ID card.
  • Travel insurance is recommended.
  • Cash (local currency).

What considerations should you take into account when taking the tour in Cusco?

Accommodation included features:

  • Standard Teepee (included): Small room with a double bed, private bathroom with hot shower, private outdoor bonfire, breakfast included. This room does not have an outdoor bathtub or indoor stove. Capacity for 2 people.

Upgrade options (for an additional cost):

  • Classic Teepee 1: Double bed (up to two double beds), outdoor bathtub, private bathroom, hot shower, wood stove in the room. Bonfire area.

  • Classic Teepee 2: Queen bed (up to two double beds), outdoor jacuzzi, private bathroom, hot shower, hairdryer, wood stove in the room. Bonfire area.

  • Deluxe Teepee 1: Queen bed (additional double bed and single bed option), mezzanine, cold bath Moray, outdoor jacuzzi, wood stove in the room, bonfire area, private bathroom, hot shower, hairdryer.

  • Deluxe Teepee 2: Queen bed (up to two double beds), mezzanine, cold bath Moray, outdoor jacuzzi, wood stove in the room, bonfire area, private bathroom with hot shower, hairdryer.

Additional activities (at an extra cost):

  • Picnic with llamas (minimum 2 people).

    • Classic Picnic: Andean cheese board, sourdough seed bread, dried fruits, drink, seasonal fruits, one bottle of Intipallka wine (red or white), and infusions.

    • Picnic Lunch: 3 courses of your choice, drinks, seasonal fruits, and infusions. Starters: Chicken causa, organic salad, pumpkin cream. Main courses: Stir-fried beef, trout with tubers, pasta with mushrooms. Dessert: Fruit crepes, crispy apples.

  • Guided horseback riding (minimum 2 people).

  • Quad bike tour.

Other considerations:

  • You can add entrance tickets to attractions as an extra during the booking process or purchase them directly at the location with cash payment (ticket prices may vary without notice).
  • For your pickup in the historic center of Cusco, note that access is limited in some narrow streets. In such cases, the guide will suggest a nearby pickup point.
  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Due to environmental, weather, or other factors beyond our control, the tour itinerary may change. If this happens, you will be notified in advance.
  • Remember that, since these are outdoor activities, the natural features of the landscape may vary depending on weather conditions and the natural daylight. Each visit is an authentic experience, where nature reveals itself in unique and unrepeatable ways.

Not allowed:

  • Pets.

  • Smoking.

  • Large bags or luggage.

Not recommended for:

  • People in wheelchairs.

According to Peruvian regulations, foreign tourists may be exempt from the local tax IGV (VAT). As a formal and registered travel agency, we are required to submit to the local authorities a copy of the document you used to enter the country, as well as your date of entry. For this reason, a few days before your arrival, we will contact you to request a photo of that document and ask you to let us know the date you entered Peru. If we do not receive this information, we will be required to add the 18% corresponding to the IGV tax.

  • Between 10 and 30 days: The penalty is 80% of the total.
  • Less than 10 days: The penalty is 100% of the total.

  • Between 10 and 30 days: The penalty is 80% of the total.
  • Less than 10 days: The penalty is 100% of the total.

There will be no refund in case of delayed flights, train delays, bad weather, or other external factors.

Force Majeure Policy

  • Guru Explorers values your time and strives to adhere to the itinerary. However, the itinerary may be affected by force majeure events such as weather, rain, natural disasters, protests, roadblocks, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no refunds or compensations will be issued, as these are unforeseen and unavoidable situations. Nonetheless, we will do everything possible to offer alternatives and efficient solutions for your enjoyment. Any additional costs arising from changes or alternative activities will be the responsibility of the client and not of Guru Explorers.

Can I take the tour if I am traveling alone?

Yes, the tour is operated in shared service during the day, and you can book glamping for one person with availability in an individual tipi at an additional cost.

Are there food options available or should I bring my own?

You can buy food at nearby local restaurants or request an additional dinner with the glamping service. You may also bring snacks or personal food if you prefer.

What kind of experience does the glamping offer besides accommodation?

The experience includes contact with nature, a night bonfire, stargazing, bike rides, interaction with llamas, and a peaceful environment to disconnect.

Can I upgrade to the deluxe tipi or add enhancements?

Yes, you can request an upgrade to a deluxe tipi for an additional cost at the time of booking if you prefer more comfort or a better view.
