ATV Itinerary to the Morada de los Dioses and Fortaleza Aqueduct
Your adventure begins with pickup from accommodations located within Cusco’s Historic Center. If your hotel is on a narrow street with restricted access for tourist vehicles, we will arrange a nearby meeting point that can be reached by our transportation.
From there, we travel for approximately 20 minutes to the ATV base. Upon arrival, your instructor-guide will welcome the group and provide a safety briefing, explaining how to operate the ATV as well as the inherent risks associated with this adventure activity. Before participating, all riders are required to sign a liability waiver.
After the briefing, you’ll complete a short practice session to become familiar with the ATV. Once everyone is comfortable, we begin the 15 km (9.3-mile) round-trip ride, visiting two attractions along the route: the Abode of the Gods and the Fortaleza Aqueduct. At both sites, you’ll have free time to explore and take photos.
The Abode of the Gods is an open-air artistic project that continues to grow and evolve. During your visit, you may even see sculptors at work creating new pieces inspired by Andean mythology and culture.
The Fortaleza Aqueduct is visited in its current state of preservation. Unlike many restored tourist attractions, this site retains much of its original character, offering a more authentic and less altered look at a historic structure within a rural setting.
After completing the experience, we ride back to the base and return to Cusco by vehicle. The tour concludes at Plaza Regocijo.
Note: This experience is primarily focused on adventure and ATV riding. The route between the base and the attractions follows rural roads and passes through local communities in the Cusco countryside. The main highlights and best photo opportunities are found at the Abode of the Gods and the Fortaleza Aqueduct, rather than throughout the entire ATV route.
