Looking to enjoy a delicious meal in one of the most representative places in the gastronomic world? The Premium Lunch at Skylodge will offer you this and much more.

However, this lunch is not just any meal. The place you will visit is Skylodge Adventure Suites, located inside a transparent capsule 400 meters above the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and is one of the favorite places to enjoy a good Peruvian meal.

SkyLodge Adventure Suites opens the doors of its excellent dining capsule, but at the same time opens the door to an unimaginable adventure as well. Undoubtedly, an excellent combination that is worth knowing.

The view of the wonderful Sacred Valley of the Incas is a real privilege, even more so if you have a wide menu with the best gastronomic options. Lunch will be composed of four courses and bevarages. In addition, you can choose one activity to do: via ferrata or zip line.

Premium lunch Itinerary at Skylodge:

09:30 h – Pick-up from your hotel in private transport.

10:45 h – Arrival at the Pachar base and safety briefing with instructions to start the experience.

11:15 h – Start of the 400 m ascent. The route combines an exciting section of hiking along the mountainside, always secured to a steel cable, with sections of metal ladders, bridges, and suspended structures. A safe and adrenaline-filled experience. For the more adventurous, there is the option of completing the entire ascent via ferrata*.

12:15 h – Lunch at the Skylodge, enjoying unique panoramic views of the Sacred Valley.

13:30 h – Descent, which can be done hiking along the mountainside secured to the steel cable, or by zipline*.

15:30 h – Return to the base.

17:00 h – Arrival in Cusco.

*Note: Only one activity of your choice is included: ascent via ferrata or descent by zipline. If you wish to do ascent via ferrata + descent by zipline, you may add it as an extra service during the booking process. Not recommended for people who suffer from vertigo.

What to bring for the Premium Skylodge Lunch hike? 

  • Comfortable walking shoes, warm jacket, hats or caps, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, rain gear or poncho.
  • Passport or ID card.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Audiovisual recording devices (cell phone, camera, video cameras).
  • Cash (local currency)

Considerations for the Premium Skylodge Lunch hike:

  • The minimum age for lunch at Skylodge is 6 years old for ziplining and 9 years old for climbing via ferrata.
  • Maximum allowed weight for zipline, tirolesa, or via ferrata: 264 pounds.
  • What does it mean that the tour is shared?
    • It means that you can share the tour with a group of tourists from different nationalities and ages. It’s a great opportunity to connect with travelers from all over the world!
    • The day before the shared tour, you will be assigned a pick-up time window and an approximate return time. It’s important to be on time so as not to delay others. The duration of the tour may vary depending on the group’s pace and traffic, so the return time is only approximate. Please remember that neither traffic nor the pace of tourists is the responsibility of Guru Explorers.
  • Remember that, since these are outdoor activities, the natural features of the landscape may vary depending on weather conditions and the natural daylight. Each visit is an authentic experience, where nature reveals itself in unique and unrepeatable ways.

According to Peruvian regulations, foreign tourists may be exempt from the local tax IGV (VAT). As a formal and registered travel agency, we are required to submit to the local authorities a copy of the document you used to enter the country, as well as your date of entry. For this reason, a few days before your arrival, we will contact you to request a photo of that document and ask you to let us know the date you entered Peru. If we do not receive this information, we will be required to add the 18% corresponding to the IGV tax.

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days in advance: Penalty is 20% of the total amount
  • Between 7 and 30 days in advance: Penalty is 40% of the total amount
  • Less than 7 days in advance: Penalty is 100% of the total amount

Date changes

  • More than 30 days in advance: Penalty is 5% of the total amount
  • Between 7 and 30 days in advance: Penalty is 10% of the total amount
  • Less than 7 days in advance: Penalty is 100% of the total amount

  • There will be no refunds in case of delayed flights, train delays, bad weather, or other external factors.

Force Majeure Policy

  • Guru Explorers values your time and makes every effort to follow the itinerary. However, it may be affected by force majeure events such as weather conditions, rain, natural disasters, protests, roadblocks, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no refunds or compensation will be provided, as these are unforeseeable and unavoidable situations. Nonetheless, we will do everything possible to offer efficient alternatives and solutions for your enjoyment. Any additional costs resulting from changes or alternative activities will be the responsibility of the client and not Guru Explorers.

Do I need to climb the mountain to have lunch at the Skylodge?

Yes. The Skylodge is not a conventional restaurant that you can reach by walking normally or by vehicle. To access the panoramic dining capsule, it is mandatory to complete a 400-meter ascent along the mountainside, always secured to a steel cable.
The route combines hiking, metal ladders, bridges, and hanging structures, offering a safe yet adrenaline-filled experience.
For those seeking even more adventure, there is also the option to complete the full ascent via via ferrata.

Do I need previous climbing or adventure experience?

No. The tour is designed for people with no prior experience, as long as they have a moderate fitness level and do not suffer from severe vertigo.

Can I choose between via ferrata or zipline to go up or down the Skylodge?

Yes, you can choose the option you prefer for the ascent and descent: via ferrata (ladder-like climbing) or zipline, both with full safety measures and professional guidance.

How high is the Skylodge located?

The module is suspended more than 400 meters above the Sacred Valley floor, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Peruvian Andes.

Are there restrictions to participate?

Yes. The minimum age is 9 years old, and the maximum weight allowed is 120 kg. It is not recommended for people with heart problems, severe vertigo, or reduced mobility.
