Located in the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas, this adventure combines the excitement of climbing 400 meters on a via ferrata with the thrill of descending at high speed through a 6-line zipline system, totaling 2,400 meters, with the longest line reaching 700 meters.

During the journey, you will cross a hanging bridge, reach the highest point of the circuit, and enjoy a delicious box lunch with a privileged view of the Peruvian Andes.

Zip line itinerary in Sacred Valley:

  • Departures from Cusco and the Sacred Valley: 8:00 AM & 12:00 PM
  • The schedules are approximate, as the duration of the activity will depend on the agility of the group members.

8:00 – 10:30 AM | Hotel Pickup + Transfer to the Sacred Valley & Safety Briefing

We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco and depart for the Sacred Valley, a journey of approximately one hour. Upon arrival, you will receive a safety briefing and all the necessary equipment to enjoy the activities with complete confidence.

11:00 – 12:45 PM | Via Ferrata Ascent & Box Lunch

With the equipment ready, we will begin the 400-meter ascent through the Via Ferrata, an exciting climb with unmatched panoramic views. This activity lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the agility of the group members. Once at the summit, we will cross a suspension bridge and reach the Condor’s Nest, where we will enjoy a box lunch for the morning session and a snack for the afternoon session, before beginning the descent.

12:45 – 4:00 PM | Zipline Descent + Return to Cusco

The descent will be done via the Zipline, also known as a canopy, with a total course of 2,400 meters, spread across six lines, the longest being 700 meters. Experience the incredible sensation of flying over the Andes!

After completing the activity, we will start our return trip to your hotel in Cusco’s historic center or to selected areas in the Sacred Valley. Arrival is estimated at 4:00 PM for the 8:00 AM departures and at 8:00 PM for the 12:00 PM departures (approximate times).

Considerations for Tour Via Ferrata & Zipline in Sacred Valley:

What does it mean that the tour is shared?

  • It means you will share the tour with a group of tourists of different nationalities and ages, including travelers from Guru Explorers as well as other operators. This is a great opportunity to connect with people from around the world! If you prefer a private experience without sharing with other travelers, please ask us about our Private Tour option.
  • Seating in transportation: Random, based on arrival and pick-up order.
  • Pick-up and schedule: One day before the shared tour, you will receive an assigned pick-up time range and an estimated return time. It is important to be punctual to avoid delaying the group. The duration of the tour may vary depending on the group’s pace and traffic conditions, so the return time is only an estimate. Please note that neither traffic conditions nor the pace of other tourists are the responsibility of Guru Explorers.

Other considerations:

  • Access to Cusco’s historic center is limited due to narrow streets. In some cases, the guide may suggest a nearby meeting point for pick-up.
  • Minimum age: 9 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Remember that, since these are outdoor activities, the natural features of the landscape may vary depending on weather conditions and the natural daylight. Each visit is an authentic experience, where nature reveals itself in unique and unrepeatable ways.

Not Allowed:

  • Pets.
  • Smoke.
  • Large suitcases or bags.

According to Peruvian regulations, foreign tourists may be exempt from the local tax IGV (VAT). As a formal and registered travel agency, we are required to submit to the local authorities a copy of the document you used to enter the country, as well as your date of entry. For this reason, a few days before your arrival, we will contact you to request a photo of that document and ask you to let us know the date you entered Peru. If we do not receive this information, we will be required to add the 18% corresponding to the IGV tax.

  • Guru Explorers values your time and makes every effort to follow the itinerary. However, it may be affected by force majeure events such as weather conditions, rain, natural disasters, protests, roadblocks, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no refunds or compensation will be provided, as these are unforeseeable and unavoidable situations. Nonetheless, we will do everything possible to offer efficient alternatives and solutions for your enjoyment. Any additional costs resulting from changes or alternative activities will be the responsibility of the client and not Guru Explorers.

What is a via ferrata?

Who can climb the Via Ferrata?

Anyone under 120 kilos and physically able to handle the height of the stairs. It is essential that they are in good health and at least 8 years old.

What is a ZIP-Line?

Also known as a canopy, it is a pulley suspended by cables that are mounted on an incline. Driven by gravity, it is possible to slide from the top to the bottom through the cable.

What to wear?

Since this is a climbing activity, we recommend wearing comfortable, lightweight clothing that covers your legs, along with appropriate footwear for this type of activity. Keep in mind that as you ascend, it may get colder, so bringing an extra layer is advisable. We also suggest bringing a refillable water bottle.
