In the middle of the inhospitable Huacachina desert, we will enjoy delicious dishes that you will not easily forget. This activity is special because it has everything you need to spend a different evening. If you would like to find a dinner option outside the traditional bars or restaurants, then dinner in the Huacachina desert is your ideal activity.

In addition to the exquisite meals provided by a private chef, you can enjoy drinks and cocktails in a comfortable candlelit setting, providing a warm, decorative and elegant atmosphere.

As an additional attraction for the more restless, during dinner in the Huacachina desert you can take advantage of a sand buggy tour and sandboarding.

Note: Consider that this is a shared experience. To carry it out, we need a minimum of 4 passengers in total. Check with the sales agent for availability if you are a group is less than 4 people or request the price to do it privately.

Dinner itinerary in the Huacachina desert:

We will meet in Huacachina at 4:00 p.m. to begin an unforgettable adventure in the desert. We will hop on the buggies and ride across the immense dunes while enjoying an impressive panoramic view of the Huacachina Lagoon, a landscape that seems taken from another world. During the ride, you can release some adrenaline by doing sandboarding and sandtubing (tubes) before continuing toward our special destination.

At the end of the activity, we will arrive at a magical spot in the middle of the desert, prepared exclusively for our evening. There, a cozy campfire, canopies, chairs, cushions, and all the details designed to offer a comfortable, warm, and unique experience will be waiting for you.

We will begin with a delicious appetizer consisting of cheese, ham, seasonal nuts, cabanossi, olives, and mini toasts.

Then we will enjoy the main course: a delicious BBQ Grill with your choice of beef or chicken. We also offer vegetarian or fish options, available upon prior request. Everything will be accompanied by a generous grilled vegetable salad and wine.

Please note that menu options may vary slightly depending on the date and the number of participants.

After dinner, you can relax by the campfire, admire the incredible starry desert sky, or share stories with your travel companions in a peaceful and magical atmosphere.

Finally, we will return by buggy through the desert at around 9:00 p.m., ending a night you will remember forever.

Dinner at the Huacachina desert includes:

  • Waiter service and private chef.
  • Sand dune buggy tour and sandboarding.
  • Assistance in English and Spanish.
  • Dinner with appetizers and a main course based on a grill, with the option of beef or chicken, accompanied by grilled vegetables. (Vegetarian or salmon options available for an additional 10 USD, upon prior request.)
  • 1 bottle of wine for every two people. 3 bottles of water per person.
  • Shared bathroom.
  • Return to the meeting point in Huacachina.

Dinner in the Huacachina desert is not included:

  • Transportation from Lima (can be added during the purchase process or coordinated with Guru Explorers)
  • Accommodation
  • Personal expenses
  • Sparkling wine. It can be added for 10 USD per person.
  • Special event decoration (decorative tent, LED sign, fireworks, saxophonist, etc.). These can be added as extras upon prior request.

  • Choose comfortable shoes and light clothing.
  • Passport or ID card.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Audiovisual recording devices (cell phone, camera, video cameras).
  • Cash (local currency).

 

Considerations for dinner in the Huacachina desert:

  • Remember that, since these are outdoor activities, the natural features of the landscape may vary depending on weather conditions and the natural daylight. Each visit is an authentic experience, where nature reveals itself in unique and unrepeatable ways.

  • Pets.
  • Smoke.
  • Large suitcases or bags.

Not recommended for:

  • People with heart problems, back problems, asthma or high blood pressure.
  • People in wheelchairs.
  • Pregnant women.

According to Peruvian regulations, foreign tourists may be exempt from the local tax IGV (VAT). As a formal and registered travel agency, we are required to submit to the local authorities a copy of the document you used to enter the country, as well as your date of entry. For this reason, a few days before your arrival, we will contact you to request a photo of that document and ask you to let us know the date you entered Peru.

If you do not provide this information, or if you have been in the country for more than 90 days, we will be required to add the 18% corresponding to the IGV tax.

  • There will be no refunds in case of delayed flights, train delays, bad weather, or other external factors.

Force Majeure Policy

  • Guru Explorers values your time and makes every effort to follow the itinerary. However, it may be affected by force majeure events such as weather conditions, rain, natural disasters, protests, roadblocks, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no refunds or compensation will be provided, as these are unforeseeable and unavoidable situations. Nonetheless, we will do everything possible to offer efficient alternatives and solutions for your enjoyment. Any additional costs resulting from changes or alternative activities will be the responsibility of the client and not Guru Explorers.
