Amazing Amazon Tour Itinerary:
DAY 1:
10:00 Iquitos – Monkey Island – Lodge
Our adventure starts with your welcome at the International Airport or the city of Iquitos and subsequent transfer to the Port of Bellavista, to embark on a motorized boat heading to the lodge, a journey that amazes with the greenness of the wetlands; and the union of the Amazon and Nanay Rivers, whose waters make a contrast of dark tones.
You will make a stop at Isla de los Monos, a refuge and protective area for endangered species, where you enjoy a special moment with primates, including the Pichico, Howler, Spider, Stump, among other species.
After almost an hour of navigation, you will have a welcome at Heliconia Amazon River Lodge and an exquisite lunch at this accommodation, which recharges energy for the excursion in the afternoon in contact with the Amazon jungle.
You leave for the Yanamono reserve, in a tour of about two hours that allows you to identify exotic flowers such as heliconia and giant trees; also appreciate the diverse local fauna. By the end of the trek you return to the boat just to appreciate a unique sunset.
When night falls, there is an open boat tour through one of the tributaries of the Amazon River, with little light and in an inhospitable environment, you will be able to enjoy a wonderful sky full of stars; and if time permits, you will be able to detail the constellations and shooting stars.
Upon arrival at the Lodge, rest, enjoy the pool or common areas, to finally enjoy dinner in this magical place.
DAY 2 :
Lodge – Amazon community – Iquitos
After having enjoyed a comforting night, in the middle of the Amazon jungle, we will start the boat tour to observe various tropical birds and later breakfast.
This day gives you the experience of knowing a native community of the Amazon, recognized for their ability as hunters, Los Yaguas, to discover their daily life, culture, their hunting and fishing techniques in the middle of a majestic habitat.
Upon arrival at the Logde you will be able to taste a diverse buffet lunch, for the subsequent transfer and departure to the Iquitos airport.
Taking a tour like this allows you a contact, more than natural, personal and intimate. Traveling is living and reconnecting with what you love!
