Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Why is a gastronomic tour in Lima recommended?

Lima, considered the gastronomic capital of the world, offers a wide variety of flavors representing all of Peru, making it the ideal destination for a food tour. If it’s your first time trying Peruvian food, this tour ensures you experience the most representative dishes at the best restaurants. Additionally, it allows you to optimize your time and budget, as the costs would be higher if you went on your own.

What should I wear for the gastronomic tour?

Some of the restaurants have a more formal atmosphere, so it’s preferable to avoid wearing sneakers, although it’s not a strict requirement. The dress code can be described as smart casual, but the most important thing is to be comfortable.

Is this a walking tour?

The tour includes a walk through the bohemian and artistic district of Barranco, while for the neighborhoods of Miraflores and San Isidro, we travel by our own transportation.

What types of dishes will we taste on the gastronomic tour?

The advantage of this tour is that we visit 4 different restaurants in Lima over a 5-hour period, offering a wide variety of flavors. From traditional Peruvian food and seafood to fusion dishes and delicious desserts, all the dishes are authentically Peruvian.

Is it possible to do the gastronomic tour during my layover in Lima?

To join the afternoon gastronomic tour, international flights should arrive before 2:15 PM, and domestic flights before 3:00 PM. The tour ends around 9:30 PM, so we recommend considering a one-hour transfer time from Barranco to the airport. For these cases, we suggest booking transfer service with our advisors to ensure you arrive on time.
