3:00 AM - Hotel Pickup

Our journey will begin very early, but it will be worth it, as this ensures we will see condors, which typically fly between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM. We will start a journey of approximately 4 hours to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. The advantage of this private tour with exclusive transportation for you is that we can adapt the stops to your preferences, such as at the typical viewpoints of the local volcanoes and whenever you wish to stretch your legs and relax. Additionally, we will take you to a tourist restaurant so you can enjoy a traditional breakfast.

8:00 AM - Arrival at Colca Canyon - Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint

Upon arrival at our destination, we will appreciate the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world, and discover the sanctuary located at this site. Here, we will spot the majestic condors as they spread their wings in the early hours of the day.

The sighting of condors occurs in their natural habitat, mainly in the morning when they go out to search for food. Because this is a 100% natural activity, we cannot guarantee an exact number of condors to see, as they depend on external factors such as weather conditions and winds. However, in 95% of cases, sightings are positive. We appreciate your understanding of the nature of this activity.

We will also take the opportunity to visit the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, as well as the viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico, where you will discover tombs and other Inca and colonial constructions. The landscapes are definitely worth it.

Hot Springs (optional)

After visiting the viewpoints and the towns, you will have the option to relax in the hot springs.

Lunch in Chivay and Return to Arequipa

Then, you will have free time to have lunch in Chivay before starting the journey back to Arequipa. On the way, we will stop at some viewpoints of the volcanoes, where we can also appreciate various species of wild birds and vicuñas.

3:00 PM / 5:00 PM - Arrival in Arequipa

Between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, we will arrive in Arequipa.

Note: Currently, the road used for the return to Arequipa is under maintenance. Therefore, depending on the day, we may need to start the return before 12:00 PM, as the road will close later. In that case, we suggest having lunch at 11:00 AM to begin the return before noon.

The price of the colca full day tour includes: 

• Bilingual professional guide (English/Spanish; check availability for Portuguese)

• Private transportation. For groups of 3 people or fewer, the guide will drive the vehicle. For groups of 4 or more, there will be a driver plus a guide

• Traditional local breakfast

The price of the Tour to Colca Full Day does not include:

• Entrance fee to the hot springs (15 soles per person, to be paid in cash in local currency)

• Entrance fee to Colca Canyon (40 soles for Latin Americans or 70 soles for other countries, to be paid in cash in local currency)

• Lunch (average price 35 soles)

• It is recommended to bring: comfortable footwear, lightweight clothing, a hat, a wool cap, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain gear (especially from November to April),

• Warm clothing

• Insect repellent

• Childrens must be accompanied by an adult.
• Due to environmental, climatic or other factors, beyond our control, the itinerary of the trip may vary. If so, it will be notified in a timely manner.

• With 3 days or less in advance, there will be no refund.
• Between 4 and 7 days of notification, 70% is refunded.
• More than 7 days, 90% is refunded.

• Rates applied for change of date in private tours: 
  • There will be no extra charge if notified more than 5 days in advance.
  • If notified between 3 and 5 days in advance, an additional charge of 20% will apply.
  • If notified 2 days or less in advance, it will not be possible to make the change and it will not be subject to a refund.
• There will be no refund in case of delayed flights, train delays, bad weather or other external factors.
