Itinerary for Glamping in the Huacachina Desert

We will meet at a designated meeting point in Huacachina at 4:00 p.m. to begin an unforgettable adventure in the desert. We will hop on the buggies to ride across the immense dunes while enjoying an impressive panoramic view of the Huacachina Lagoon, a landscape that seems taken from another world. During the ride, you will be able to release some adrenaline by practicing sandboarding and sandtubing (tubes) before continuing toward our special destination.

At the end of the activity, we will arrive at a magical spot in the middle of the desert, prepared exclusively for our evening. There, a cozy campfire, canopies, chairs, cushions, and every detail designed to offer a comfortable, warm, and unique experience will be waiting for you. In addition, we will have 4.5-meter-diameter Arabian tents with double, twin, or triple accommodation, equipped with mattresses and memory foam pillows.

For dinner, we will start with an exquisite appetizer consisting of cheese, ham, seasonal dried fruits, cabanossi, olives, and mini toasts.

We will then enjoy the main course: a delicious BBQ Grill with your choice of beef or chicken. We also offer vegetarian or fish options, available upon prior request. Everything will be accompanied by a generous grilled vegetable salad and wine.

Please note that the menu options may vary slightly depending on the date and the number of participants.

After dinner, you will be able to relax by the campfire, admire the incredible starry desert sky, or share stories with your travel companions in a peaceful and magical atmosphere, before resting in the absolute silence of the desert.

The next morning, we will wake up early and head to the meeting point in Huacachina, where we will have breakfast and access to showers.

Finally, we will conclude this adventure with memories you will treasure forever.

Glamping in the Huacachina Desert includes:

• Waiter service and private chef.
• Sand dune buggy tour and sandboarding.
• Sandtubing (tube) activity.
• Assistance in English and Spanish.
• Dinner with appetizers and a main course prepared on the grill, with the option of beef or chicken, accompanied by grilled vegetables. (Vegetarian or salmon options available for an additional 10 USD, upon prior request.)
• 1 bottle of wine for every two people. 3 bottles of water per person.
• 4.5-meter-diameter Arabian tent equipped with a double mattress and memory foam pillows.
• Breakfast at the Huacachina offices.
• Shower available at the Huacachina offices.
• Shared bathroom at the campsite (no shower).
• Round-trip return to the meeting point in Huacachina.

Glamping in the Huacachina Desert does not include:

• Transportation from Lima (can be added during the purchase process or coordinated with Guru Explorers)
• Personal expenses
• Sparkling wine. It can be added for 10 USD per person.
• Additional wine or beer. They can be added.
• Special event decoration (decorative tent, LED sign, fireworks, saxophonist, etc.). These can be added as extras upon prior request.

What to bring to Glamping in the Huacachina Desert?

• Choose comfortable shoes and light clothing.
• Passport or ID card.
• Travel insurance.
• Audiovisual recording devices (cell phone, camera, video cameras).
• Cash (local currency).

Considerations for the Glamping in the Huacachina Desert:

• Remember that, since these are outdoor activities, the natural features of the landscape may vary depending on weather conditions and the natural daylight. Each visit is an authentic experience, where nature reveals itself in unique and unrepeatable ways.

Not Allowed:

• Pets.
• Smoke.
• Large suitcases or bags.

Not recommended for:

• People with heart problems, back problems, asthma or high blood pressure.
• People in wheelchairs.
• Pregnant women.

According to Peruvian regulations, foreign tourists may be exempt from the local tax IGV (VAT). As a formal and registered travel agency, we are required to submit to the local authorities a copy of the document you used to enter the country, as well as your date of entry. For this reason, a few days before your arrival, we will contact you to request a photo of that document and ask you to let us know the date you entered Peru. If you do not provide this information, or if you have been in the country for more than 90 days, we will be required to add the 18% corresponding to the IGV tax.

Cancellation Policy

• More than 30 days in advance: Penalty is 20% of the total amount
• Between 7 and 30 days in advance: Penalty is 40% of the total amount
• Less than 7 days in advance: Penalty is 100% of the total amount

Date changes

• More than 30 days in advance: Penalty is 5% of the total amount
• Between 7 and 30 days in advance: Penalty is 10% of the total amount
• Less than 7 days in advance: Penalty is 100% of the total amount
• Subject to availability.
• There will be no refunds in case of delayed flights, train delays, bad weather, or other external factors.

Force Majeure Policy

• Guru Explorers values your time and makes every effort to follow the itinerary. However, it may be affected by force majeure events such as weather conditions, rain, natural disasters, protests, roadblocks, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no refunds or compensation will be provided, as these are unforeseeable and unavoidable situations. Nonetheless, we will do everything possible to offer efficient alternatives and solutions for your enjoyment. Any additional costs resulting from changes or alternative activities will be the responsibility of the client and not Guru Explorers.
